GLOBAL – Over the past month we’ve witnessed the usual array of firmware and software updates across Nokia devices and services, including a recent firmware freshen-up for N96, a new version of N-Gage and the beta release of Communication Center 2.0 yesterday.
HONG KONG, China – Top human behavioural researcher at Nokia Design, Jan Chipchase, has highlighted an interesting conference that he’s be speaking at today dubbed Design & Emotion, the core theme being “Dare to design” and emotions.
LONDON, England – Mark Fletcher is one of Nokia’s key people responsible for the launch of products such as the recently unveiled 5800 XpressMusic.

LONDON, England – There’s an inevitable mania and intensity that envelops any significant product or service launch, and last night it felt somewhat amplified.
UK – Parrot feathers, mini satellite dishes and exhaust pipes aren’t commonly found on a pair of headphones (unless you live in Shibuya, Tokyo, of course, where anything goes). But these are exactly the sorts of decorative trinkets that could well find their way onto a bespoke Nokia headset.
INDIA – The concept of a mobile-based universal remote control isn’t new, yet the hope of one remains a hugely popular prospect that we’ve collectively scribbled on our wishlist. HELSINKI, Finland – Launched in June 2008, The Leadership Edge is an interesting little Nokia site dedicated to “insights into innovation from the office at the CTO at Nokia”. It’s been a little light on content until now (I’ve eagerly been checking), but earlier this week Christopher Iwata, Nokia’s Head of Research Strategy, posted a tantalizing piece looking seven years into the future, identifying key areas for research and the stuff that excites the Nokia Research Center most, including something called ‘Mixed reality’…
