Ngage and the N97

BARCELONA, Spain – The N97 is the going to be the next big Ngage device, so we caught up with Jaako Kaidesoja, vice president of Ngage, to find out what we might expect when it launches. Widescreen games is the first thing, with current and future games getting the full widescreen treatment. Touch, and tilt based gaming is also on the cards. The future of Ngage

BARCELONA, Spain – With the N97 changing things for Ngage through the introduction of new kinds of games and technologies, next year promises to be pretty exciting. But that isn’t all for Ngage. Jaakko Kaidesoja, VP of games gave us a little insight into what we might see from Ngage in the future. Context is king in that location is going to play a much bigger part in gaming in the future. Music too will have tighter integration and Jaakko’s team are already in the process of developing new music based initiatives. We’ll have another video with Jaakko later on, but for now here’s his view of what we can expect to see in 2009.

Creatures of the deep – the video!

GLOBAL – One of the first, and most hotly anticipated games to roll out on Ngage was Creatures of the Deep. Born out of an idea producer Mike Smith had over 17 years ago, the game quickly nabbed critical and consumer acclaim.

Now the makers have sat down and produced a “making of” video, telling the Creatures story on the little screen.

Breaking out Blinko

MILAN, Italy - Nokia has inked a deal with Italian content firm Buongiorno to add its BlinkGold portal to Nokia handsets. The service will be rolling out in Italy first with other countries to follow over time. 10 handsets will be sporting the service including the N95, N70 and N82. But, you might be asking, what’s BlinkoGold?

N-Gage update – it’s good news!

ESPOO, Finland – We’ve dug in deeper and we’ve been told a fix is in the works for the recent N-Gage games transfer situation. This is excellent news and although initially it looks like it may need to be serviced through Nokia Care (as an interim solution), there is a longer-term fix in the works.
