Comment of the week – let’s not forget NFC

Nokia N900GLOBAL – We had a tremendous response to our call for what you’d like to see in the N900, and what you’d like to see the N900 do. We filtered through the latter and have a list of 82 separate functions you’d like to see performed on an N900! However, one comment jumped out this week which broached the subject of introducing another technology in the N900 – Near Field Communications (NFC). There’s been plenty of research and testing going on around NFC, and I’m afraid we’ve no idea about any plans to introduce it in the N900, but ARJWright’s comment is a solid one, which is why he’s picked up this week’s Comment of the week gong along with the second last license we have for Gravity (don’t worry, we have something else lined up for the week after next!)

Comment of the week – Gravity winner

GLOBAL – It seems quite clear that our current polls are proving to be the center point of discussion on Conversations. The latest on mobile web browsing has no less than 21 comments right now, but for me one stood out just a nose in front of the others. Of course there’s a ton that can be said about mobile web browsing, and plenty of people made similar points relating to speed (all very valid) which is proving to be one of the hotter notions on the poll, but Kanak Bhandari went a little bit further with something I hadn’t previously considered. Read on to find out what he had to say.

S60 Twitter app poll: Can Twibble, Stew, Dabr or now Twittix defy Gravity?

GLOBAL – The S60 Twitter app on everyones lips (or rather beaks) at the moment is the quite brilliant Gravity. It’s interface is extremely clear, and it’s tough not to get suckered in by its velvet-smooth transitions and ease of use. That said it’s a paid-for S60 Twitter app and one of the pricier ones. But with this week’s emergence of the smart new Twittix S60 app (pictured), which is the highest flier of all S60 Twitter apps? Is Twibble the wind beneath your tweeting wings (it has recently been updated with new features)? Or Stew for the Nokia 5800 or Dabr? Is there some other S60 Twitter app we haven’t heard about that deserves shouting about? Let us know your favourite in our new S60 Twitter app poll below.

What’s you’re favourite Twitter app? We’ve listed the most prominent S60 Twitter apps and put them in alphabetical order, so take your pick and click.
