BARCELONA, Spain – What a week it’s been for Nokia at Mobile World Congress, with loads of new unveilings including big hitters such as the N86 8MP, E55, and your favourite announcement of Monday, the Ovi Store (currently our reader poll which has registered over 450 votes shows that 34% of Conversations readers were most excited by word of the upcoming Ovi Store which launches in May).

GLOBAL – At the beginning of the week we asked you to vote for your favourite announcement from the first day of Mobile World Congress – the Ovi Store came in first place (34%), with the Nokia E55 coming in second (31%) and the E75 in third place (26%). But since then a bunch of other Nokia news was announced, including the new N86 8MP and Skype on Nokia, so now it’s time to vote for your definitive favourite product, service or announcement from the show.

BARCELONA, Spain – Here on Conversations we’ve been hooked on the big phone charger question, so this week’s announcement of the Universal Charging Solution (UCS) marks a hugely welcomed development – this milestone collaboration will see 17 mobile operators and manufacturers, including Nokia, work with the GSMA towards an industry standard universal charger for new mobile phones. News of the Universal Charging Solution has already triggered a global wave of mostly widespread, and naturally a few doubters, plus it has resulted in some interesting wider questions stretching beyond the mobile space.

BARCELONA, Spain – Nokia and Skype announced plans this morning to fully integrate Skype into select Nokia devices. Kicking off with the Nokia N97, Skype will be part of the address book in the device, enable users to easily see when their Skype contacts are online. It’ll also enable them to use 3G and WiFi to make and receive free Skype to Skype voice calls. Continue reading>>
BARCELONA, Spain – The new Nokia N86 8MP has just been officially unveiled. This landmark Nseries is the first Nokia phone to break the 8 megapixel camera mark.
