GLOBAL – Back in the day, Nseries devices were often referred to as multimedia computers. Of course now they’re known as mobile computers, and given the likes of the Nokia N97, that’s a very fitting description. It’s fitting too, that multimedia plays a central role in the Nseries blog, the latest Nokia blog to have the Conversations spotlight shone on it. With a video on pretty much every post, the site manages to bring Nseries devices to life in a way words simply can’t, something I think adds a huge appeal to the site.

LONDON, England – It’s been an agonizing wait for many, but this morning the new Nokia N97 flagship smartphone has finally touched down on UK soil, aptly going on sale at the flagship store in London. It’s in good company too, with the new Nokia N86 also debuting in the UK today.

GLOBAL – Facebook has wrangled its way back into my life (after being usurped by Twitter) simply because of the FB app on my N97. Before I got that, I hadn’t been on the site for a while, and only then to briefly pick up messages. Now I’m on it pretty much every day. I wrote the other day about how simple apps like the Facebook one can bring the phone and service together, and how the integration of the device’s camera functionality in the app made a real difference. Well, with the N97 hitting the streets in London today (and pre-orders aplenty!) I’m sure lots of you will get to see it for yourself.
