GLOBAL – We looked around to see what folks talked about from Nokia World 2009. It turns out that the Nokia Booklet 3G and the Nokia N900, even though they were launched before the event, dominated discussions.
Nonetheless, analysts far and wide weighed in on the announcements. Below, we’ve mentioned a few choice articles, representative of the general discussion out there. So read on for a full flavour round-up.
BOSTON, USA – Nokia World 2009 is just around the corner. As the biggest Nokia event of the year, Nokia World has reflected the evolution of products and thinking at Nokia. So, we did some digging into the origins of Nokia World to see what was said (or not) over the years.
We found out that Nokia World has been around for a while (next week is the 14th), and the event always packs a wallop in terms of what gets put on display there. It has been the main venue to announce some big things for the company (we list a few). Even from its modest first event, the goal was to bring interested folks together to talk about new Nokia products that would (it was expected) shake the industry. But, as we discuss below, not all the big announcements happen at Nokia World.
GLOBAL - It only seems like yesterday that we sat down in a Barcelona hall to see the N97 being revealed at last year’s Nokia World. But now we’re a mere seven weeks away from Nokia World 2009, which will be taking place in Stuttgart on September 2-3. The event promises the usual mix of future innovations underlined by Nokia’s mission to connect people to the things they love “how, when and whenever they choose”. Nokia World is all about mobility and the event brings together everyone involved in making it better and more accessible – operators, developers, media, music and content houses, games publishers, retailers, technology and Internet companies, analysts, journalists and bloggers. That’s not to mention various teams from within Nokia.

ESPOO, Finland – James and I are back from Nokia World, where we hustled our butts off to get some choice stories and sound-bites. There were a lot of things that were going on and channels we used to keep you all informed and also for us to watch how things were going on.
