LONDON, England – Good things got a boost this morning with the unveiling of the Good Things signpost. Twice the size of a double decker bus, the signpost is hanging from a crane near London’s Tower Bridge. The interactive signpost is pretty difficult to miss and marks the start of a campaign to help highlight Good Things and Ovi Maps and the incoming Nokia N97 mini.

GLOBAL – There’s a new feature on Ovi Maps and its needs you to make it a brilliant one. Good Things is a way for Ovi Maps users to share their favourite places around the world. Already there’s hundreds of places been added with hundreds more being added every day. What’s more, it’s dead easy, too.
Once you’ve installed the latest Ovi Maps browser plugin Good Things will appear as an extra tab alongside “find places”, “favourites” and “routing”.
BOSTON, USA – Living in Europe, I was accustomed to whipping out my phone, booting up Ovi Maps, and finding out where I was and where I needed to go. The synchronization through Ovi also made it easy for me to set up landmarks from my browser, or transfer landmarks from one device to another.
But since I’ve moved to the USA, the whole thing has broken down, mostly due to lack of uniform network coverage. Read on to hear my trials and tribulations and weigh in with some of your own stories.
STUTTGART, Germany – Music just got a whole lot more interesting, with the introduction of the Nokia X6. 3.2-inch touchscreen? Check. 32GB of storage? Check. 35 hours of music playback? You guessed it, that’ll be a check. Did we mention the blow-your-mind design? We’ve only just clapped eyes on the sleek and sexy X6 and already we can’t keep our peepers off it. At a touch under 14mm thin, it’s slim frame packs plenty of power and will leave music lovers in no doubt as to how they’ll be listening to music on the move when the device goes on sale this side of Xmas. What’s more, the Nokia X6 is a Comes with Music device which means you’ll be able to tune into as much all-you-can-hear music as you like without having to spend a penny extra.

BOSTON, USA – As I read the past month of articles in my feed reader, I found a bunch of articles pertaining to Nokia that might not have been necessarily big news, but that did resonate with some of my thinking.
Ranging from new devices and a device retrospective, to acquisitions and spin-offs, to clever employees, and to a thoughtful video – the last month was rich in things that made me think.
Before we get to the notable acquisitions and spin-offs, let me first start with a device that is dear to me: the Nokia N86 8MP.
